About

Building leaders and communicators who stay steady under real pressure.

Mindful Leadership Co is founded and led by Utsav Rufus, working at the intersection of mindful leadership, applied communication training, and English-language skill-building for corporates, universities and individuals.

Founder

Utsav Rufus

Utsav works with organisations and institutions that want their people to communicate with more clarity and lead with more composure — whether that's a management team navigating change, faculty preparing to teach differently, or students walking into their first set of interviews.

His approach draws on mindfulness-based practice as much as it does on classic communication and leadership frameworks: the belief is that presence and self-regulation are trainable skills, not fixed traits, and that most "communication problems" are really nervous-system problems wearing a vocabulary costume.

Utsav is also a certified yoga teacher, which means the stress-management and resilience elements of his corporate and university programs aren't theoretical add-ons — they're drawn from an actual teaching practice in breathwork, guided relaxation and body awareness, adapted for boardrooms and classrooms rather than yoga studios.

Mindful Leadership Co has delivered Faculty Development Programs at the university level, alongside corporate workshops and individual coaching, working with organisations that want their people to lead and communicate with more clarity.

What guides the work

Presence before performance

Every skill — a pitch, a lecture, a viva answer — is delivered by a nervous system first. Train that, and the words follow more easily.

Breath as a leadership tool

Simple, evidence-informed breathwork and relaxation practice — drawn from actual yoga teaching, not a slide on "wellness" — is built into leadership and stress-management sessions.

Practice over theory

Sessions are built around role-play, real scenarios and direct feedback rather than slide-heavy lecturing.

Designed, not templated

Every program is shaped around the specific audience — a factory floor team, a first-year faculty cohort, and a nursing OET candidate all need different rooms.

Measured follow-through

Engagements end with take-away material and, where useful, a follow-up touchpoint — not a one-off workshop that fades by Monday.

Qualifications & credentials

The training and coaching frameworks behind the programs — not just the yoga background.
